Don't go to the extreme!
Tourism, when moderate, was a minor economic boon. Since 1990 and especially since the Dreams Park established, it has become a menace.
It attracts greedy entrepreneurs, increases greed among residents, threatens the placid evenness of life that has attracted so many residents to
this area--including retirees who are in themselves a social and economic resource.
Town has choice between rural residential and historic town that welcomes tourists or mere tourist town where residents only here to provide
services. Total disregard for year round residents who bear brunt of hard winters and then onslaught of tourists in residential neighborhoods
violating meaning of "residential" zoning.
Town needs to address lighting issue--i.e. spillover lighting from commercial businesses onto ajacent residences.
town planning board must strictly control commercial development outside village because of environmental concerns. also it must recognize
need for affordable housing in the village and be open to good developers plans to provide this in and near village.
very controlled development!

We feel that growth is inevitable. This has become even more apparent in the past five years. Vacant land that has been bough by "out of
towners" for the sole purpose of development is becoming an issue for every township. We do feel that there is a need for attempting to control
this type of growth. However we also feel that there needs to be more Public involvement with the decision making process and that it should not
be the sole decision of the CPSC.
We look forward to spending more time in this beautiful area in the next few years.
We need more support to protect the invasion of money making developers. It could make our area too expensive for old residents
WE NEED SOME TYPE OF TAX HELP MORE BUSINESS WOULD HELP.
We need to concentrate on preserving our sense of community for the year around population. Unfortunately, tourism development has the
potential to destroy our little corner of the world by crushing our sense of community. And we simply cannot let that happen. For those of us who
represent families who have been in the area for generations, it is most disturbing to see our sense of community being over run by increasing
tourism.
what it looks like is often more important than what you allow. set back, especially road setbacks, are very important in retaining rural features
such as views and tree-lined roads.
You did not ask about daycare - we need many more licensed daycare centers and these should be fostered in our rural community. Lot size
requirements are also very important in determining the future of rural character of our community.
